	HE the Ambassador meets with the Premier of Free State Province

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Hisham Al-alawi visited Mr. Sekgobelo Elias Magashule, the Premier of the Free State province on 9/1/2012. He discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them, investment activities in the region and sharing experiences in the field of economic and commercial development.

The two parties discussed investment opportunities in Iraq and the possibility of South African companies to participate in the reconstruction and development of infrastructure. In addition to extending invitations to businessmen of both countries to visit Iraq and South Africa to explore various opportunities of investment and developing economic and trade relations.

Mr. Magashule thanked H.E. the Ambassador for his visit and stressed the importance of Iraq to South Africa. He added that his country is interested in developing relations with Iraq at all levels and anticipate in further progress in the future. He also expressed his intention of visiting Iraq accompanied by the Premier of Kwazulu-Natal province Dr. Zweli Mkhize with a group of businessmen.
