      The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Japan is pleased to announce that signing ceremony of three projects to totaling 87.840 billion JPY has been held at the headquarter　office of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Tokyo.  Iraqi Chargé D’Affaires ad interim. to Japan Mr. Mukhlis Ali Rajab signed on behalf of the Government of Iraq and Ms. Sadako Ogata, President of JICA, singed on behalf of the Government of Japan.

The three projects are;

(1) The Water Supply Project in Mid-Western Iraq           (41.274 billion JPY).

(2) The Al-Akkaz Gas Power Plant Construction Project (29.570 billion JPY).

(3) The Deralok Hydropower Plant Construction Project (16.996 billion JPY).

                                                                     Total      87.840 billion JPY

     Taking this opportunity, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq would like to express highest appreciation to the people and the government of Japan for their continuous support and assistance. It is our hope that these three projects will contribute to enhance the Comprehensive Partnership signed on 28^th of January 2009, between the two friendly nations.
