As part of the Embassy's Activity and diversification of its initiatives, the Ambassador Dr. Saywan Barzani held at His residence, two dinner invitations, the first, on the 20th of April 2012 specifically to some of the staff of the Italian Embassy in Baghdad while on their stay in Rome and the Italian consul in Arbil, in addition to the head of Task Force Iraq at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Massimo Bellelli. During the dinner, all means to strengthen relations between the two countries and the role of the two Embassies in this area were discussed.

On the 26th of April 2012, the Ambassador held a dinner invitation in honor of the Ambassadors of Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Pakistan, San Marino and their spouses accredited in Rome. During the occasion, issues of common concern were discussed as well as means of developing relations between Iraq and these countries and the role of Embassies in Rome in this direction
