On the 23rd of April 2012, the Ambassador, Dr. Saywan Barzani, attended the seminar held by the Islamic Cultural Center in honor of the President of the Italian Republic, Mr. Giorgio Napolitano's visit to the center.

The Italian Minister of International Cooperation and Integration, Mr. Andrea Riccardi also attended this seminar in which all the speakers' topics were focused on the role of the Islamic Cultural Center in representing the Muslim Section of the Italian community, whether Italians or immigrants and to work to increase their chances of active integration into the Italian society .

The Center was inaugurated in 1995 and became a symbol of Islamic culture in the whole of Europe. The goal of its establishment is the convergence of views between Islam and other religions in Europe in addition to represent Muslims interests in Italy.
