	The Cultural Festival of Cinema entitled (Middle East now).

On the 15-16 of April 2012, the First Secretary, Dr. Ali Shimran Hachem, attended, on behalf of the Embassy, the Cultural Festival of Cinema entitled (Middle East now) which was organized by (Map of Creation) Foundation in the Italian cultural city of Florence. During the Festival, an Iraqi film entitled (In My Mother's Arms), directed by Mohamed Attiya Darraji, was shown.

The Festival was attended by the President of the region of Tuscany, the Mayor of Florence, some members of Diplomatic Missions of the participating States at the festival and a number of universities professors interested in the Middle East Affairs as well as Italian directors, artists, the Iraqi community living in the city including a number of well known Iraqi artists residing in the city.

The first secretary delivered a speech on the last day of the festival in which he praised the importance of Iraq's participation in these international and cultural events through which Iraq aspires to re enhance its usual cultural presence which enriched the world with its history and art heritage.
