International Women's day

On the morning of 8/3/2012, the Embassy held a ceremony to mark the anniversary of International Women's Day. The event was attended by the Embassy's members and technical attachés.

The Ambassador Dr. Saywan Barzani delivered a speech on this occasion to stress on Iraqi struggling women's role who had the honor to bear the burden of all the harsh conditions Iraq went through and were able to maintain their family's dignity and good morals for their children and today she is actively participating in rebuilding the country and in all aspects of life together with the her companion, the man, on equal grounds to build a promising new future of a federal and democratic Iraq. On this occasion, The Ambassador presented gifts to Diplomatic and Local women Employees of the Embassy in recognition of their work
